Today in pictures:
our balcony with the sun out
hills of Montmart ( we visited Sacre Crour but I don't have those pictures on my iphone)
our breakfast of croissants and bread
me underneath the Arc de Triumph
our river cruise on the Seine
We've been doing so much that I'm grtting confused with what we have seen and on what days!
Here are a few observations: the French don't hate us like everyone thinks (which we knew).
You cannot take home your leftover food from a meal.
People stand around with beer and wine bottles all over the city streets and drink in public.
The city toilets aren't as disgusting as I thought, though I'd still like to avoid them at all cost.
You can't really grab a cup of coffee to go. You sit and you drink. And waitrrs take a very long time bringing you your check- not because they forgot but because they don't want to rush you. Imagine that?
Tomorrow there is a giant music festival throughout all of Paris to celebrate summer solstice. I hope to eat cheese and bread and drink wine while listening to some tunes.
Bed time. Good night!
